MEC Collection of Designs
Objective: During my 3-month internship at Mountain Equipment Company, they were seeking an in-house illustrator that could help create the visual language and style for MEC’s rebrand. My challenge was to explore various illustration styles and ultimately create MEC’s visual language that could be used throughout various platforms and projects. I developed their style and was a part of various marketing projects such as MEC’s 50th Anniversary that celebrated MEC’s back story and outdoor community.
Montie The Mountain
This is Montie, a unisex mascot character for MEC that is funny, adventurous, and loves the great outdoors but can sometimes get lost when having too much fun. Keep an eye out for Montie to show up through various marketing collateral or even running-around in real life!
MEC E-Gift Cards
This is a collection of E-Gift card designs I made that are playful, quirky, and each share, a little story about MEC and who they are and what they stand for such as community, environmental accountability, staying active, access and equality for all, and the outdoor spirit.
